(Un)Wisdom: A Junior Self-Portrait Diptych by Edward Salisbury (2011)

I Am. I am calm and analytical. I wonder what wisdom really is. I hear the rumble of an old jeep. I see the old man and the boy. I want to understand. I am calm and analytical. I pretend to know, but I don't really. I feel sad but relieved. I touch the hearts and minds of those I help. I worry about everything. I cry because we are all selfish. I am calm and analytical. I understand that we will never change. I say wisdom is mans' greatest weapon. I dream of a better world. I try to fix everything. I hope someone will join me. I am calm and analytical . In Design, we were told to take photos for a diptych that would go with out personal belief. My belief was ''wisdom is earned through experience, not time. For my diptych, (Un)Wisdom, the first photo is of a man, old and tired. Disappointed with his life, how he sat on his porch and watched the world go by. The second photo is of a younger man, who went out and experience life, helped others who were less fortunate, and made a difference in life.
