Over Examination: A Junior Self-Portrait Illustration by Edward Salisbury (2011)

In design we were asked to come up with a metaphor for ourselves. I came up with a pigeon driving my jeep. Then the assignment changed. We had to come up with a positive trait and its flip side. Mine was that I am calm and thought full, but the flip side of that is that I tend to over analyze somethings. To represent the calm and thoughtfulness, I drew my jeep. I then drew a cartoon style x-ray machine, symbolic of being over analytical. As a reference to the original assignment, I put a pigeon driving the jeep, to show that I can also be sporadic and random.
