Determination: A Junior Self-Portrait Illustration by Jessica Lee (2011)

In design class, we were assigned a project that depicted one positive trait and one negative trait about ourselves and show how they interact. My positive trait consists of my determination and my negative trait is self doubt. The wave in my picture represents self-doubt while the rock represents perseverance. The wave keeps wearing down the rock, but the rock still holds its ground. This represents how my self perseverance is worn down by my self doubt constantly, but in the end, my perseverance overcomes this.
