Are You My Mother?: A Senior Comic Strip by Maya Shaanan (2012)

This is a story about a little girl who finds her mother in an unexpected place. The elevator. The girl had been searching for years to find the mother that had disappeared from her life and this woman just happened to be in the same place at the same time. In this comic I used childish colors and simple designs to increase the youthful idea that this young girl was holding onto. That is also the reason that I chose to use a bow to be my character, bows are connected to innocence and a sweet demeanor. This young girl has both.
