Misconceptions of Overprotective Parents: A Senior Mise en Scene Illustration by Greg Cottarel (2012)

A young man by the name of Bobby Rosado worked very hard during his high school years. As he managed to continually maintain a 3.7 GPA, he partied hard as well. Bobby would on occasion spend Friday afternoons with some of his close friends having a few Stella-Artois, or perhaps a Corona. Sadly, however, overprotective parents send Bobby to a rehabilitation center for his so called ''alcoholism''. He was set back 6 months of school and had a great difficulty making it all up afterwards. Yet he persevered, feeling his parents had betrayed him by sending him to this camp when he had only consumed at most a few beers every month. His perseverance paid off and he pushed through the college application process. With a pen in one hand, and a beer in the other, Bobby made it to the point were he received an acceptance letter to his #1 choice, NYU.
