Sr. Gecko: A Senior Surreal Photo by Samantha Pann (2012)

In the dry desert of Mexico lives little Sr. Gecko. He lives in a lovely place full of cacti and sand. Sr. Gecko's home was made of rocks and his neighbors were very jealous of his house. Sr. Gecko was a local musician who played many instruments, but his love of the guitar was the strongest. One day Sr. Gecko was strolling along in the desert and he ran into a female. She glistened in sun. He thought it was love at first sight. They began to chill under the trees and get to know each other. He shared his love of music with her. But there was a slight problem. She was allergic to the wood that makes guitars. Sr. Gecko had to choose between his love of guitars and the love of his life. After pondering it for many days, he decided to choose the love of his life and let his love of guitars turn to stone. Eventually he began to play the piano and realized that he was magnificent at it. In the end he was a happy lizard.
