freestyle experimental project: A Senior Experimental Art Piece by Katya Schaefer (2012)

For my experimental piece, I took a series of pictures around the Freestyle campus from which I selected four images. I chose an image of a spiderweb, the mat in front of the film room, a dead part of the cactus outside the film room and the cover of the man hole that says gas on it. I overlaid the images one on top of the other changing the opacities and curves of the images and finally adding a cooling filter to the overall image. I also made some of the layers black and white to create color contrast.

The image represents my time here at Freestyle. It shows that I had both good and bad times while here but no matter what my emotional experience was at the moment, everything was memorable.
