Melting Gremato: A Senior Surreal Photo by Lucas Andrade (2013)

For this piece I took a series of photos and combined them to make a surreal photo. The first photo I took was a texture shot of the grain on a stump of wood, which I then applied an art filter to to create a brush stroke effect. Under that photo I put an HDR photo of tomatoes that I applied a liquify filter to. I masked the tomatoes with the texture layer, and erased so that the tomatoes would show through. Then on top of everything a put a picture of Mr. Greco's face that I took with a long exposure which made him appear to have multiple eyes. All of these pictures came together to create a surreal picture that was inspired by my dream journals.
