This photo was done for my surrealist unit at Freestyle. I began the unit wanting to have contrast between humanity and nature and the chaos that comes from it. The base picture was taken to view an instant of chaos juxtaposed with grace. I then added in elements of man made nature where the eye would not expect it. Finally I wanted to show that the cup was more than humanity's calm nature but its complexity and deterioration as well.
