Jennifer Bulka: A Senior Profile Portrait by Paige Eller (2014)

Jennifer Bulka is an entrepreneur who started her own business called The Talking Playhouse. She deals with patients who suffer from social cognitive issues and helps them become more comfortable working in a high-functioning society. I choose to interview Jennifer because she has been a family friend for many years and I wanted to find out why she is the way she is. I learned that Jennifer's work can be extremely challenging because she deals with patients who struggle to make changes to their lives. Working with Jennifer gave me a new perspective on how to work collaboratively with people. She explained to me how difficult it might be for someone facing a social difference to work with others, and to be aware that someone we know could be dealing with these type of issues. It also became evident to me that Jennifer loves her job. She taught me the importance of being passionate about what you do, and being persistent in finding a job that not only makes you successful, but happy.
