Leslie Porter: A Senior Profile Portrait by Matthew Shearer (2014)

For my profile project I did a profile of Leslie Porter. Her story intrigued me because she had three biological children and then went on to adopt seven children from four different countries. I was very interested to find out how all the adoptions had changed their family and what they had taken away from the experience. I learned that Mrs. Porter has gone through a lot of troubles to adopt these kids and that she sees it as her way of giving back. This experience has made me a much better film maker and given me a lot of practice with the process of making a profile documentary.
