Oliver Sanchez: A Senior Profile Portrait by Hope Moseley (2014)

For the documentary unit at Freestyle, I chose to document Oliver Sanchez; a cook, a printmaker, and an incredible stepfather to me. I briefly knew about Olivers' company, but I never got the chance to know the ins and outs, until I began to work on this project. I became intrigued when Oliver brought home his print work and this pushed me to get his story told before his art disappeared. Through this project I was able to gain a huge appreciation for his work and to discover the passion I have for the old techniques of printmaking. Although Oliver's company and skills are a dying art, because of the introduction of modern technology, his work persists because it truly is magnificent, and I admire him highly for it.
