“Tinted Red”

In this photo I am standing in my room, on my bed by the flowers that I wake up to every morning. I thought it would only be fair if I gave them justice in this photo because believe it or not, they are the most important objects in the picture.
My favorite color is red or dark red. My whole room has a reddish pattern in it because I feel most comfortable and warm in a red tinted room. My mom, knowing that, decided to buy me those stick on, red flowers to make my room softer and cozier. She succeeded. The flowers aren’t so much about how they make my room look, but how my mom made me feel. I wanted this photo to represent love, love for my family, love for simplicity, love for nature, and love for self-expression.
The reason my face is so off center and almost cut off is because I want the audience to see the flowers first, then the outline of my body and then my face. That makes the picture come together in the order it makes most sense to me. With the look I am wearing on my face, I almost want to intimidate the viewer. I want to say, “Come, look into a portion of my life, but not for too long.” I think I am smirking because that’s just kind of a natural look for me. I always seem to intimidate people; but in reality I am only trying to protect what’s mine. My family is very important to me, and I think this picture represents how I want to protect them from what’s outside.
This picture is how I want people to look at me. It’s a little blurry because I do not wear my emotions on my sleeve, and a little sinister.
