Welcome to my Project Info Page. This page will be updated throughout the 2015-2016 school year with new projects that I complete. When this website is completed, at the end of the school year, it will have my self-portrait, narrative, documentary, conceptual, profile, narrative 2, innovator, portfolio, and my old project information page. I look forward to this upcoming year and hope you enjoy what I will create.
Self-Portrait
My Self-Portrait Website theme was cats. I very much like cats, and identify with them. I choose cats also to be related to my diptych. The theme of my self-portrait unit was find the power to overcome your anxiety. We started with the concept in english, with that concept we created poetry. The poem I chose was “A Turtle on the Beach”. It was about a turtle on a beach, but this turtle belonged in the swamp. I then made a small podcast entitled things I learned in my life and it lists some of the things that I have learned. My essay page is a personal narrative about how I overcame my anxiety. My diptych we used juxtaposition of two images to convey the central concept of the unit. In this we learned basic skills in photoshop such as, the spot healing tool, the burn tool, and the dodge tool. In design we also learned how to use illustrator. We learned how to use the pen tool and how to fill with the tool. We also learned the importance of using layers. My photo gallery page has other photos I took during the unit, these were the first photos I had ever taken. Lastly my web jems page contains some websites that I liked the design or I visited regularly.
Narrative

My Narrative assignment is based around the story of a little girl who finds an injured bird. She wants to care for it, however her overprotective mother refuses to let that happen. Against her mother's will, she hides the bird in her room. Her mother finds it, her and the daughter fight and in the resolution the bird flies away. The connection between mother and daughter harmonizes. My animatic page contains the guidelines or the sample animation. The animatics purpose it to work out timing on each scene. My portrait page contains a photo of the mother character, and what I thought she should look like. I imagined her as an older lady. In her hand she has a ribbon and a feather one to represent her daughter, and the other to represent the bird. My illustration is of the final scene of my comic. Its when the bird flys away and they little girl says her final goodbye to the bird.

Documentary
My Documentary was on the LAHS Winter guard. The central theme was a decrease of interest in the arts. I choose the Winter Guard as my subject because I was a member of the guard. The season also lined up very well with the project, so it was fun to develop the book as the season progressed. My documentary website includes my book, process, and slideshow. My book was written in english and created in Design. We learned the program InDesign to create the book. We then created a process page in Web Audio. This page has videos on how we made a page in the book, how we edited the audio for our slideshow and also how we made a page in Dreamweaver. Our slideshow is a condensed version of our book. It has background music and me narrating over each image. .
Conceptual
My Conceptual units theme was drawn out of a hat. We choose a feeling and an experience. My feeling was the feeling of paranoia through the experience of accepting others who are different. From that we created poems, mixed media art, music and an animation. In english we created an iBook from our poems. In design, we could use one fine art piece that we made and edit it digitally. In Web Audio we made music and also the Conceptual Website. I also created an animation in Flash.
