Introduction

During the narrative unit, we focused on telling a story through various mediums. This allowed us to experiment and decide which form of storytelling we like best; the mediums were creative writing, screenplay, graphic novel, character portraiture, and animation. To do this, we had to utilize a wide range of skills. We had to be able to write, format a screenplay, draw a comic, take quality pictures, edit them with photoshop, and use Adobe Flash to animate the story. It was a complicated unit.

On the other pages, you will see most of my products in the aforementioned mediums (all except for the screenplay).

This was a tough unit for me at first, because I don’t enjoy creative writing, so I was never satisfied with my work. I think it’s helped me a lot with being comfortable with what I’ve created, whether or not it’s objectively good. I’ve also learned to moderate my workload a bit more, because I got overly ambitious with my animation, ended up rushing at the last minute to finish it, and probably sacrificed some quality.
