Hello and welcome! My name is Mallory Berent. I’m currently a junior film student at Freestyle Academy and Mountain View High School. I enjoy playing volleyball, traveling, listening to music, and hanging out with friends. For both my art and life the core values of loyalty, compassion, and having fun drive me. Loyalty allows me to commit to everything I do and stay true to myself. Fun infuses my life and artwork with joy and creativity. Compassion helps me connect with others and communicate on a deeper level through art.
Outside of school, I enjoy playing volleyball, traveling and seeing new places, listening to music, and hanging out with friends. I play volleyball for both school and club, so it is a big part of who I am. I love going to the beach and the city on weekends. However, I also can appreciate spending time at home cuddled up with my two dogs on the couch either watching a movie or reading a book.
I’m super excited for this year and by the end, I expect to have a better understanding and expanded skill level in cinematography. Film making is something I am passionate about but lack experience in, however, that will change this year. Overall, I am looking forward to learning more in all subjects. Lastly, I expect to have a fun time and a good year!
