Center Frame Portrait

1/16 f13 ISO125

This week we focused on centering our subject in the frame as a way to isolate the subject, with the purpose of creating a feeling of loneliness. I feel that the center framing and the subject’s pose both contribute to the feeling of loneliness. I think this is an interesting relationship between the pretty leaves and calm landscape, and the feeling of loneliness surrounding the subject in the center. I also like the stonework of the bridge, which adds a solid foundation to the photograph while also creating visual interest. To finalize the photo, I edited it very minimally, only cropping it and boosting the colors and brightness ever so slightly.
