Welcome to my narrative website!
During our second quarter at Freestyle, we focused on projects that helped us explore what it was like to tell a story of our own. If you choose to browse around this website, you will find all my work from this quarter, including photonarrative and illustration in design, short story from english, and the animatic and animation from webaudio. Similarly to the self portrait unit, I used Adobe Dreamweaver, Photoshop, and Illustrator for a majority of the projects I completed. but I also learned how to use Pro Tools to create the voices for my animation, and Adobe Flash CS6 to create my animatic and animation. In english, we explored our story telling skills by writing poems, a short story, and even illustrating our own graphic novel.
Through this unit, I was struggling a lot with the animation piece. Making an animation isn't as easy as it looks; there are many steps in order to achieve your vision. I was able to excel using Illustrator in design and webaudio, and will continue flourishing my skills. In English, I wrote a short story and designed a graphic novel based on the same plot that I am very proud of. Overall, the narrative unit at Freestyle Academy was an eye-opening experience, even though I may have hit a few bumps along the way.
