INTRO

As in most of our other projects all three classes at Freestyle took a part in making this documentary project. Our Research projects started in English where we interviewed documentary subjects, wrote out transcripts, made a notable collection of resources and wrote a research paper accordingly. During these interviews we took plenty of photos and edited these later in photoshop. These photos were later put into our magazine which was laid out and finalized in Design. From here we take our digitally prepared Magazine and print it; we also put it online. The online version of my magazine can be found on this website under the magazine tab. In Digital Media we made an intro video and a website to display all the work in our other classes. This Intro video is located directly below.

This video I made in After Effects. I combined my knowledge of photoshop, illustrator, and animate to learn this program and in turn make this intro video. One of the most chalanging parts for me was learning how to 3D animate and to do it in a completely new program. I feel as though I did pretty well creating a 3D cube and making it move around the way I wanted it to. It took a lot of trial and error but I am very satisfied with the finished product. The picture below is a screenshot for when the intro video was still in the making.

MAGAZINE

My Documentary project was centered around the concept of Music Streaming. I focused on individual people's experience with purchasing and listening to music and applied it to what research I found concerning the music industry. My hope is that people will come away with a clearer understanding of where the music industry is in this day and age and what likely will happen in the future. I made sure have my design in my website match this message by keeping it as simple as possible and make it striking yet very easy to read. I wanted my magazine to look as proffessional as possible in order to draw more attention to the article.

I made this magazine in InDesign. I combined my knowledge of photoshop, illustrator, and the Rules of Design to learn this program and and make my magazine article. The article is what I spent the bulk of my time working on so I learned to use InDesign very well throughout this project.
