My name is Soline Gauthier. I have a passion for music. I am a new Web Audio student who is very eager to learn and to create many different projects. As I sharpen my skills, you will see how I compose these virtual pages. When it is done, this is the place where I will be able to show you my work. Each button will lead to a different unit. I hope you will enjoy, as much as I do, my artistic journey through design, music, and art. I am so excited to share all these special moments of my life with you. Merci! Thank you, for visiting my virtual world. I have mainly designed my website around music. I am a classical singer, and I also play classical music on the piano. So I have chosen my favorite piano piece from the movie "Pride and Prejudice". For my background, I chose a bird flying out of a cage. The bird represents my voice. It's flying free and sharing its song with the world.

And welcome to my Narrative Unit!
This is the unit we learned all about animation! Exciting I know! It was so much fun, I came up with a story about a revengful cat. On this page you will be able to see my Graphic Novel. If you do not know what a Graphic Novel is, it is basically my Comic Strip of my animation. Also there will be my Flash Fiction, which is a story that only has 500 words and no dialogue. Let me tell you, 500 words is difficult for me. I had to simplfy my story multiple times. Another project you will find on my page is our draft of our animation. Go see it! Really! You will not be disappointed. Lastly, you will see my Illustration Board, and Artist Statement that I did in Design class. We used a new software in this unit, which was Illustrator, it is really cool. But of course also really hard to use. You will notice that my story characters changed from between my animation amd my Illustration Board, all because of Illustration. This was an amazing unit, but you should see for yourself! And welcome to my Profile Unit!
This is the unit that we experiment with writing a documentary and interviewing people. I decided to write about an organization called Project Linus. They make handmade blankets for children in need. I wanted to show how much love every blanket is made. These volunteers or also known as Blanketeers are people who want to help out in this world. They all hope that their blankets bring shelter to children. In English we were asked to write an article, we had to do some research, as well as transcripts. In Design we were asked to design our own magazine for our subjects, and to design a graphic design. My design was a drawing of a knitting ball with needles. In Web audio we were asked to create our documentary website, and a commercial that will introduce our subjects. On this website you will find my commercial, screen shots of the process of the commercial and the magazine. There will also be 16 photos that I have taken, and lastly my bios which is my interviewees with the audio of thier interviews. This unit was inspiring. And welcome to my Explorations Unit!
This is the unit we were asked to pick a new skill we wanted to learn. This project was mainly about the process of learning our skill, and not the final project. I choose to learn more about creating music. Especially soundtrack music on Reason. I had a lot of fun with this project. I was inspired by the composer John Powell, his music has been the the famous films like Jason Bourne, How to Train Your Dragon, Kung fu Panda, and many more. Another artist I was inspired by was Enya, she created a whole album for one of the Lord of the Rings movies. For this project we were also required to create a Infographic. An Infographic is a chart that is suppose to have alot of graphs and icons. I choose to research the marketing side of movie albums.
