This is my documentary unit home page.

In this unit we researched a topic of our own choosing. I chose metal detectors because I've always been interested in why someone would devote time to that.

 

In English class we researched and wrote a paper. For this we had to use a minimum of three interviews, and two other sources.

 

In Design we took this paper and design a book using Adobe InDesign for the page layout. We learned how to use Indesign and lay out books, using margins, bleeds, gutters, and editing the text (the spacing, kerning, and letting).

 

In Web/Audio we made this website to hold all the content, with the requirement of two Java script features. I used spry tabs, which are the tabs on the slideshow and photo book pages. I also used fancy box which is the feature you see to look at my book, on the photo book page.

We also made the music you hear on this page in Reason. This program allows you to make music on the computer, similar to what we had done before in Garageband, but Reason is more complicated so therefore allows you to do a little more.
