The concept of dripping honey on labels has always interested me because I thought it looked pleasing, so when I had the chance to do honey I decided that I wanted to incorporate a dripping element to the label. In terms of the color scheme I chose these colors because I wanted to keep the natural look of the honey and avocado. With the font I was aiming to stay with the soft appearance of the label by keeping the font round without sharp components.

The first step to making the label was to do some research about label designs of various different styles, time periods, and product type. After doing some research I was able to decide upon a style and an approximate time period. I faced many issues/challenges with my label design, for a while my label looked flat so I added elements within the honey to add for dimension. When placing the text I made copies of the text layer and played around with different placements and orientations to see which looked best.

Through this project I learned that product design is really fun and interesting but difficult at the same time. I truly valued this project because I learned new design styles. For my triptych there is a honey company that I love and they have similar product like T-Shirts and mugs so I took inspiration from them. Related website
