A Different View: A Junior Experimental Project by Stephen Adams (2013)

This experimental composition explores the idea that perspective can change how you view life. The photos in the background represent different aspects of life, and the glasses tint everything red in their lenses. The idea is that the way you look at things can change your life and how everything seems to you. The photo in the very back, taking up the entire photo, is a sunset. For me, this is a reminder of my mortality: the fact that I won’t live forever, and I want my life to count for something while I still have it.

I took many photos of different things and put them together in a collage. I lowered the opacity of all the photos to give them a feeling of being in the background. I took a picture of a pair of glasses and cut them out, then I put a low opacity red tint inside the lenses to give the pictures behind them that tint.
