Out of Mind: A Senior Surreal Photo by Taylor Peterson (2013)

My surrealist project was meant to portray the out of body experience. It is supposed to give the viewer a calming, meditative feeling. I created this picture using three different photos I took in Los Altos Hills and photoshopped them together. I used HDR (High Dynamic Range) on the photo on the left hand side, to create the surreal feeling. I turned the back photo into an oil painting to give it an artificial look. Then, I photoshopped a picture of the boy laying down to the top of the picture to show the out of body experience and give the picture a dream-like quality. Lastly, I put an opaque picture of a tree upside down on the boy as to portray the spirituality and also to add to the dream.
