Never Say Never: A Narrative Character Portrait by Yujie Wang (2014)

For this photo, I want to portray my character as a person who picked up his music passion after disapproval from his parents. First, I tried to make my model make eye contact with the camera, because I think it illustrate my character's emotion to the music, and viewers can see it through his eyes. Secondly, I asked my model to wear white clothes and stand in front of a black background which gives good contrast and made my character stand out from the image. Lastly, my character holds drumsticks in his hand, giving the meaning of the picture which is about his music passion.
