Vintage Hitchcock Live Radio Play: A Junior One Page Flyer by Chloe Burcell (2021)

I was inspired to do this project because I am currently the technical director of this play. I wanted to make a flyer because I thought that I could use it for advertisements, especially since I think the current flyer is a bit ugly. Some struggles I encountered over this period were related to layering my images and trying to fit as much information as I could on the flyer in a readable but also aesthetically pleasing way. If I could change anything, I would probably add more illustrative graphics. I was debating whether or not using more shadow effects on the flyer, but I wanted to avoid having it be too busy. I am most proud of how I used layered text and repeating color schemes to make my flyer fit the mood of the play. I honestly really enjoyed this project, and I think that this was both a really fun and a really useful tool to learn. In the future, I could see myself making more flyers for the plays I help direct. I think what's cool about this project is that it helped me realize that anyone can become good at digital art. It's not a natural skill, it's something that anyone is capable of. Related website
