The song is a parody of “Creep” by radio head, in my version of the song my partner and I are talking about various different minecraft things, for example we changed the lyrics “Im a creep” to “Ima creeper ”, which is a mob in minecraft. Our main inspiration for this parody was the new minecraft movie trailer. Because of its release around the same time we started our project we wanted to create a song about minecraft. So my partner brought up “Creep” by Radio head as something that we can parody. So we got to work on creating lyrics and changing the original to fit our minecraft theme.
The things that I learned from this project would be the amount of various mac shortcuts, and how to record and edit audio. So if a recording had a lot of background noise, I now know how to add noise suppression to isolate my voice from the noise. Or If I wanted to pan the audio left to right I could do so. Or if I want to trim audio I could use the razor tool to separate the part I dont want, then delete it. What I value most about this project is not only how fun it was, but the learning how to use auditions was the greatest take away from this project. Knowing how to edit audio is important for future projects, and fixing previous ones.
