Me and Daphne’s parody is about how to cook up delicious dino nuggets and how amazing they are. We felt the music to the song California Girls by Katy Perry would be a perfect fit because it is a fun and upbeat song. It also allows for great adlibs and as chorus to sing along to.
At first, me and Daphne were making random phrases about how to cook dino nuggets that rhyme, but then we expanded beyond only talking about cooking and instead how the dino nuggets will change your life. Most interesting to me in the process of making this parody was playing with all of the voice effects and making my voice either really high or really low. In looking back at the parody process, I would say that I learned a lot and I had a blast making this fun song.
My message with my lyrics was about the amazing sensation that comes with taking a bite of a delicious dino nugget. In life, I think a delicious meal is key to happiness and so I wrote my parody lyrics to convey my love for dino nuggets. My proudest moment during the Parody production was being able to blend in the vocal tracks to the music. I am proud of this because I can now confidently make my own music and use these software platforms in the future.
