I chose to parody the song “Chest pain (I love)” because it is a long and intense song with not that many verses, so it was perfect for this assignment. This is a song that originally represents pain by loving, but I wanted to make it about the pain I feel just before a test that I couldn't study for (I pass it if someone is interested in it). I called this song “Test-pain (I hate).” It's kind of similar, isn't it?
I really enjoyed experiencing what the musicians feel every time they are going to record basic stuff; being in a room with so much professional technology around and being able to sing and scream whatever you want with no feeling of any shame, and in a comfortable space, is kind of like a magic experience.
In this assignment we learn to use Adobe Audition, which looks like a really hard program but is actually pretty easy! Well, that's the way I feel about it now because this production for the parody helped me a lot to improve my experience in the program, and that's something I really appreciate because now I feel able to do almost whatever I want in it, and I still have a lot to learn in here at Freestyle Academy.
