Pro Tools<\/h2>\n

Pro Tools<\/strong> is an audio editing software used by professional studios around the world. This software allows even people who cannot play instruments to create instrumental tracks and serves as a guiding tool to make all types of music. We used this tool in Digital Media<\/span> in order to learn how to create our own instrumental music. Below is a picture of the Pro Tools software:<\/p>\n

The music tracks were made using MIDI (Musical Instrument Digital Interface) devices. The primary MIDI device I used was a digital piano. Each piano key would play a different note, with the sound of each note fluctuating based on the chosen preset. Below is an example of a track that I created:<\/p>\n\n

Reason<\/h2>\n

Reason<\/strong> is a software used for creating and editing music. It emulates a rack of hardware synthesizers, samplers, signal processors, sequencers, as well as mixers, and automatically configures each rack to work properly. We used this tool in Digital Media<\/span> in order to learn how to create our own EDM (Electric Dance Music) song. I also used it to create a song during the explorations unit. Below is a picture of the Reason software:<\/p>\n

8-Bar Song<\/h4>\n

During the explorations unit freestyle juniors were assigned to create an 8-bar long song in Reason for Digital<\/span> Media class. Later, all the songs made by juniors were combined into a single track.<\/p>\n
