About Me

In three words I can sum up everything I’ve learned about life: it goes on.

This is me!

From 2019-2021, I was fortunate enough to be studying at Freestyle Academy in Mountain View, CA. At Freestyle, I had the opportunity to learn how to be a digital artist through collaborative, project-based learning. The three classes I took were Film, Digital Media, and English Honors.

In high school, I had a passion for video production and community service. I was Editor in Chief of MVHS’s student-run publication, the Oracle, and was committed to helping my community through groups such as E3 Youth Philanthropy, the MVHS Ambassadors, and the National Honors Society.

What I learned at Freestyle made me feel empowered to actually create something that interested me. The technology that was available to me was absolutely incredible; I’ve heard that Freestyle’s equipment surpasses what even some college students have at their disposal. But what stood out to me the most was the community. Going into the Freestyle, I heard that the community was very close; thus, that is the culture that I felt compelled to uphold. And I’m glad I did; at Freestyle, I forged incredible bonds with my classmates and friends.

Freestyle has been the most valuable learning experience of my life. The program has taught me new ways to learn, to think, and to create. It has given me independence and agency to take control of my own learning unlike any other classes have. I am so grateful to have had this opportunity. Thank you Freestyle!
