About the podcast

Astral projection. Interdimensional travel. The holographic universe. These concepts that most consider new-age drivel were the subject of in-depth, CIA-backed research, both theoretical and practical. This podcast tells the story of the Gateway Process.

Introduction to the project

The Podcast Project challenged us to create a conversational piece about a topic we are interested in. Instead of doing a topic Avni and I usually discuss, we decided to step out and research the Gateway Process, a topic we’ve been interested in, but haven’t learned much about. We got the chance to interview people who interact with this topic daily and use pieces of our conversation in the podcast itself!

Reflection

I’ve told stories visually several times, and through several mediums such as film, photo, and visual art, but this project was the first time I told a story only through audio. Learning different podcasting techniques helped me focus on auditory elements of all my art, giving me new ways to think about how I create with sound.

The project also put me out of my element. I spoke for over two hours with somebody whose life experiences and beliefs are so different from my own. It was a great learning experience, and helped me open my mind more.
