The humor project is as it seems. A unit based on studying the things that make us laugh. In our English class we read Oscar Wilde’s “The Importance of Being Earnest,” and Kurt Vonnegut’s “Slaughterhouse Five” to further our knowledge on the subject. We were then asked to compile this knowledge into a humor project which demonstrated different humor techniques. My partner Toby and I created a small script making fun of the College Board for our project, and recorded it. Please enjoy.

Inspirations

We took inspirations from youtube podcasts for the style of the performance, Smosh, and Trevor Wallace. Smosh is a sketch comedy channel which made a video for another ‘struggling company which is threatening to sue them.’ We used that as inspiration for the premise of the video, and our jokes were based off the sarcastic satirical humor used by comedians such as Trevor Wallace.
