A unit based on studying the things that make us laugh. In our English class we read Oscar Wilde&#8217;s &#8220;The Importance of Being Earnest,&#8221; and Kurt Vonnegut&#8217;s &#8220;Slaughterhouse Five&#8221; to further our knowledge on the subject. We were then asked to compile this knowledge into a humor project which demonstrated different humor techniques. My partner Toby and I created a small script making fun of the College Board for our project, and recorded it. Smosh is a sketch comedy channel which made a video for another &#8216;struggling company which is threatening to sue them.&#8217; We used that as inspiration for the premise of the video, and our jokes were based off the sarcastic satirical humor used by comedians such as Trevor Wallace.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The humor project is as it seems.
