For our music recording project, we were tasked with using Freestyle\u2019s professional music recording studio and ProTools to record a musician\u2019s playing. For this project, I collaborated with Jerry Liang to record his brother playing the piano, playing \u201c\u7ae5\u8bdd\u201d or \u201cFairy Tale\u201d in English.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Behind the scenes<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Recording music isn\u2019t simple. During our recording session, we had 7-8 takes until we got the perfect recording. Using my piano and musical knowledge, I told Jerry\u2019s brother which parts needed more dynamical contrast, as well as which parts needed to be polished more. Through Mr. Florendo’s guidance on the communication system within the recording studio, we were able to talk to Jerry\u2019s brother during the session to ensure a smooth recording.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
