Who are you?

I’m Alex Dahlstrom, currently a junior in Animation. I have a pet bird named Luna, whom I adore. I have no siblings, three cousins, and a current vendetta against squirrels. I volunteer at AAH, and have for 5 years running now, because I like chickens, and that’s the only place I can get up close and personal with them.

What are your core values in life?

Kindness, love, logic, curiosity, and the unwavering belief that there is more to life than people lead you to believe.

What are you currently passionate about in life?

Space(my longest-standing interest), art, orcas, and corvids. I’m quite fond of corvids, especially crows. I like feeding them cashews. I’m also passionate about reading, and in my downtime I also play video games. I also cycle through dozens of different media depending on my mood. However, Kirby, Sailor Moon, Wings of Fire and Splatoon are always present.

Why did you become a Freestyle student, and what do you value about being a Freestyle student?

I wanted to learn Animation; that’s why I joined. I’m not going to sugarcoat it; that’s the only reason I joined. But I’m also glad that I’m learning how to use digital tools, because I’ve always been rather analogue, so knowing how to use these before I go out into the world will be nice.
