Stuck

This photo was taken while I was hiking. I saw this shoe absorbed in the cracking mud. Someone had gotten stuck! I can relate to this instance as I too feel stuck sometimes. I feel like I do the same things everyday and I’m not progressing. Just like the person who left the shoe behind to move on, I too have made a goal to do something new and different each week. I want to look forward to new things and not stay stuck in the ever ending loop. By showing others this image I can show that just because this is a crazy time and we may feel like we do the same thing everyday, we can change that. Even small things to change up your day or week can make a difference. This image relates to this weeks theme of work because there is a lot that we don’t know in this picture leaving us with a mystery. There is a lesson to be learned from this photo as we can see an example of someone else’s struggle. While this picture is not showing how people struggle in the work place, I believe this image shows a bigger struggle and can represent struggling though many things.

Color Theory

Color is produced by specific energies and frequencies of light known as visible light. We are able to see and distinguish between colors so we can see amazing things. This is Kirby Cove, which is adjacent to the Golden Gate Bridge. While the bridge is amazing and an eye catcher, so is the beautiful water that surrounds it. The cliffs that circle the water make the water glow with color. The tress seem to be defying gravity due to their their location on the steep edges. While we live next to the beach and may take it for grated looking at this photo I hope you can see that there is more than just the water and waves that crash in front of you. There are so many beautiful things and colors that make this place pleasing to the eyes.

Modern Convenience

While this photo is not the phone I use often I think this photo shows how important this item is to people and not just me. The first phone call was made in 1876. Phones have evolved and improved in so many different ways as they have lived with us through the decades and even centuries. I love my phone, especially in this time where we are all so far apart, it offers a way to come closer and to still have those connections. The older phone that hangs in my house shows how this necessity stands through many years as it is and was a modern convenience. I made this photo black and white to emphasize that we have moved on to the new and better versions but this one still has the same main function our phones do that we have now. While I could technically live without my phone I would really prefer not too. It does so much for me especially during this crazy time the ability to connect with others is so important.
