This project was much bigger than last year&#8217;s flash fiction one, letting us flesh out our world. We read &#8220;Parable of the Sower&#8221; by Octavia Butler, which helped us understand how to build worlds. At the end, we pitched our ideas to the class, who acted as critics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A challenge to me was creating ideas for a realistic yet fantasy-like universe.
