Welcome to my narrative website. I designed this website to display my English III H, Design, and Web Audio projects that I made for the narrative Unit at Freestyle Academy. The purpose of these projects was to teach us how to tell a story through visual mediums such as the Graphic Novel, the Animatic, the Animation, and the Character Portrait.

At the beginning of the unit I read Persepolis and Fun Home as an introduction to the art of Graphic Novels. In English we focused on analyzing the use of of panels and closure to carry a story with limited dialogue and narration. Then, we were asked to write a short story which we later turned into our graphic novel.

Based on our graphic novel we composed a Character Portrait. This was both challenging and fun because we had to explain who our character was, display their conflict, and convey their mood, all in a single photo. In order to take the photo, we had to learn how to correctly use three-point lighting to our advantage and set up a studio for photo shoots.

After that, the real fun began, when we started scanning in our graphic novels and turning them into animatics, and eventually animations.
