The Music Video Unit has been the hardest and most interesting project I have ever completed here at Freestyle. I have enjoyed getting to know more people in Film, and I especially loved having such incredible people in my group. This project has been such an incredible learning opportunity. In Web Audio I improved my Pro Tools and Reason abilities. In Design I learned more about Adobe Photoshop and poster design. My English skills also improved as I helped write my groups song lyrics. We wrote our lyrics as a group, but Blake and I were the main writers. It was so much fun to create a song that everyone in the group enjoyed and had fun working on. In the song I played guitar, sang, and helped with some of the software instruments. David helped with the instrumental bridge. We recorded the song in Pro Tools and did our MIDI portions in Reason. Each member of the group was expected to create our own poster and T-shirt art based on our fictional band. Our bandname was Balderdash. Our posters were supposed to represent our genre of music visually, and still be engaging visually. The two pieces of art were also supposed to be visually related to each other. This turned out to be more challenging than I thought! However, I had such a fun time using Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator to create these two pieces of art.
