While I assume the use of the word &#8220;subject&#8221; in this sentence was meant to be in reference to a human, I thought I could convey the same effect with a green glass bottle. I saw it juxtaposed against the plain beige of my dresser and the house next door and it reminded me of one of those old cartoons, where a bright yellow fish sticks out against a sea of brown and grey fishes.
