Portfolio

Now that my senior year at freestyle is coming to an end, I’m making this portfolio to reflect on my 3 favorite pieces I have made this year. These projects will be from freestyle only since the three things I am most proud of come from my year here.

Mandala

One of my favorite pieces I made in Freestyle had to be the mandala. I’ve never thought of doing a mandala in my life but after doing this one I definitely don’t think I could do another. My creativity ran through me thinking about the game Ib as I made my Mandala. The mandalas layers go pop out from different characters which was based on when you meet them. In their layer, I put the challenges they each had to face as they continued through the cursed gallery.

Light Box

I think that my lightbox was my favorite Freestyle project. Turning what I love into something physical and colorful was straight up my alley. I do admit that illustrator got tedious while making the file, however, after it was printed I realized that my efforts went somewhere amazing. My lightbox was printed and I think it turned out beautiful. I obviously called it, “The Daycare” as it features both Sun and Moon from Five Nights at Freddy’s. This project made me incredibly happy and makes me want to make more lightboxes.

Podcast

As someone who does like their own voice, this is a big deal. The fact that I am so proud of my podcast which is literally just me talking about the Five Nights at Freddy’s lore is kind of jarring. I was even told by my teacher to continue podcasting, that I have the voice to do so and the energy. As much as I’d love to, I don’t have much to talk about. Of course, telling the story/explaining the lore was the easiest thing to talk about because a lot of other creators have done so already. I managed to make the lore fit into a little over 20 minutes of recording, way over our time limit but still surprising as it usually takes an hour to explain it. If you’d like to listen, you can click here. Or, go to the podcast page and take a listen as I explain further my process!
