I am a highschool student-athlete enrolled in Freestyle Academy. Some of my core values include hardwork, perseverance, personal growth, and accountability.
Some hobbies, and activities I partake in outside of school are water polo, exercising at the gym, rock climbing, playing guitar, and occasionally playing basetball.
I joined freestyle academy because I yearned for classes which challenged me creatively instead of logically. I have found this challenge in my Film and Digital Media classes. It has been difficult up until now to grow my artistic vision, but that is the reason I enrolled in this academy. I expect my artistic vision to blossom at the cultivation of my teachers and myself.
Something I value about being a freestyle student is the openness to socialization explored on campus. This leads to a more friendly working and learning environment. This factor allows for people to truly explore their creativity, in a no-judgement zone. I also highly value the project-based curriculum found at freestyle academy.
Art Reflection Video
Freestyle Academy took a field trip to the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art towards the start of the year, we were tasked with finding a work of art that resonated with us. I chose the painting titled PH-920 by Clyfford Still. Throughout my process of producing the art reflection video I thought deeply about the color pallete found in the painting, as well as the pattern of the brushstrokes. This painting is truly one of the best abstract pieces I have observed.
