I captured this photo while on a hike with my friends off of highway 9. I spotted this plant which peculiarly had sections of blackened leaves and stems, while other parts had red sections, and also green sections. I’d never seen such drastic differences in colors in a single plant and I thought it was really interesting.

This photo encompasses what I am currently grateful for in my life. My parents were nice enough to buy me my first car, which I am able to drive and explore the cities around me. I am grateful for the opportunity to live in a state as amazing as California.

My friends and I found this mirror, and I thought it’d be a cool chance to try out some of the special filters the camera had to offer. I chose the fish-eye lens effect to sort of create a parallel between the reflection and what’s reflecting off of it.
