I don’t want this piece in my museum because I don’t see any intention behind it. It’s a blank white canvas with a thin green border and thicker black border. Its name is simply “Untitled” and has no artist’s statement. To me, it seems as if the artist didn’t even intend for it to be displayed, or, if they did want it to be displayed, they were simply following the trend of empty-canvas abstract works with no titles. I only want pieces that are made with intent and are trying to be unique.
