When a dauntless high school graduate discovers that the dictator of Eden is controlling people\u2019s minds, she is determined to tear down the system to save her classmates and avenge her loved ones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Overview of Story: <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Eden is a large city located in the middle of the deserted United States, with a raging war occurring outside its walls. In this city, civilians wear nothing but white robes and are covered in mandatory tattoos. Every year on their birthday they get one tattoo, in order to \u201csymbolize\u201d a new year in their life. Zyron Monachopsis has lived in rebellion the past 17 years by drawing on a fake tattoo every day. She started this when her parents went missing after an underground PTSD research project, and she was left in the dark for the rest of her teenage years. When she graduates high school and is sent off to a mysterious facility with the rest of her graduating class, she discovers the corrupt brainwashing system occurring behind the scenes. As she works to unveil the truth about their government, she is met by betrayals and setbacks, and shocking secrets that change her perspectives. In the end, she must make difficult sacrifices in order to save her loved ones. She works to take down Rex Lexum\u2019s reign once and for all in order to avenge her parents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Zyron:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n In a world full of tattooed people, she is one of the only few who are not tattooed and must conceal her secret from the outside world. She\u2019s lived independently since she was just 10 years old, and has lived her teenage years working to uncover the truth about the disappearance of her parents. She is courageous, dauntless, creative, and intelligent. She wishes to take down the corrupt brainwashing facility of Eden and avenge her parents. However, she must also learn to sacrifice what she cherishes most for the greater good and be selfless in her pursuits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Rex Lexum:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n He is the CEO of a powerful ruling corporation \u201cLexum\u201d, which also rules over Eden by implementing tattoos on the citizens of Eden. He is a tall, clean cut man, covered in tattoos, who wears purely white and simple clothing. He\u2019s always wanted to rule over Eden ever since he was a child and his father told him about his ancestor Onalday Umptray, who was a ruler that spread his power across the entire globe in order to monopolize all essential resources. He wanted to follow in his footsteps and as he grew up, he became a psychopathic, egotistic, sadistic and narcissistic person. He truly wishes to live up to the expectations of his ancestors, especially his father.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Opia:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n She is Zyron\u2019s best friend ever since her parents disappeared. She is hyper and expressive. She\u2019s always bouncing on the balls of her feet. She is covered in feminine tattoos that revolve around the government’s stamp. Her friendship with Zyron dates back all the way to elementary school, when Opia\u2019s wealthy background helped to fund Zyron\u2019s independent lifestyle in her warehouse after her (Zyron\u2019s) parents disappeared. She comes from an incredibly wealthy family who are part of Eden\u2019s elites and are patriotic supporters of the government. Her father works for Rex Lexum\u2019s corrupt system, and so Opia truly believes that the brainwashing system is for the students\u2019 greater good(however, Zyron doesn\u2019t know this).<\/p>\n\n\n\n The book jacket was inspired by a Fahrenheit 451 cover I saw in a Ray Bradbury novel. The five color scheme using contrasting colors draws the readers attention. Using Adobe Illustrator, I sketched a woman and traced both the TV and the game controller. I chose the Penguin Classics logo since it pairs well with my color pallete.<\/p>\n\n\n This movie poster for \u201cEden\u2019s Wrath,\u201d a film synopsis written by myself and my friends, is inspired by retro dystopian genres. Making this poster was a difficult process due to the issue that my inspiration kept changing. The bright, glitching background resembles one of a broken screen, and the text glitches along with it. I used the font Doctor Glitch, which I found on dafont.com<\/a>. The credits contain a release date, a rated R logo which I personalized with the Doctor Glitch font, and a Dreamworks label. To get the logos the color and density I desired, I had to toggle back and forth between Photoshop and Illustrator a lot. The tagline, \u201cyou can\u2019t escape the cameras\u201d plays along with the idea of being under complete control, which appears a lot in the story. In the middle, the visuals contain the three main characters, Zyron and Opia, running across a gaming controller, while Rex falls behind. The characters and controller come from separate image traces, and then finished off with a pointillism effect to dive a bit deeper into the futuristic technological theme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In Digital Media, we were tasked to create wood art that tells the message of our story. I paired with Mahaut, and together we agreed we wanted to create a landscape with a focus subject.
