My name is Carlos Buntz. I’m 16 years old and I’m a junior at Mountain View High School. I love playing soccer, going to the gym, and hanging out with my friends. I live with my parents and I have an older brother who is currently in school at UC Santa Barbara.
Some of my core values are Health and Fitness, Friendship, and life purpose. Health and Fitness is very important to me because playing soccer and going to the gym are two things that I do the most in my free time and two things I enjoy doing a lot in my life. Friendship is extremely important to me because I love being around people and having fun with people who are similar to me and have similar interests as me. I want my life to have a purpose and try to impact the world positively everyday whether that’s by something little like helping a friend with homework or something bigger like participating in a beach cleanup or going and planting trees.
I love playing soccer, going to the gym, and hanging out with friends. Most of my freetime in the day is spent either at a soccer field or at the gym. At night I like going out and hanging out with my friends. I love playing soccer because it lets me express myself through something I have a lot of passion and love for. I love hanging out with friends because that’s when I can be social and have fun with other people.
My expectations for myself as a Freestyle student is to learn and grow and to expand my knowledge and skills in film and digital media. In film, I’ve already learned a lot about the camera and how to use it but there’s still a lot for me to learn and I think by the end of the year I will have learned a lot and grown a lot.
I value the small student to teacher ratio because I think it helps me a lot with getting feedback from teachers and also building better relationships with not only my teachers but also the other students. I also value the flexibility that there is and being able to do stuff at my own pace.
