I created a personal video essay about perfectionism. This film was made to represent who I am, the way I think, and how I express that.
I began by writing a short reflective essay about my chosen topic. I then recorded myself reading it to use for the final video. I searched for old gymnastics images and videos so I could edit them together to represent the gymnastics world. I used more recent footage of the performing arts activities I participate in to contrast the two worlds. I used shots that paralleled each other, like driving over the bridge, to illustrate my journey from gymnastics to art.
