Shadow Story

People shadow on sand

This photo was taken this week on a family trip to Death Valley. I had never been to a national park this barren and empty before, so it was definitely an experience I could never forget. Despite the emptiness and strange silence that veiled the park, there was a variety of landscapes and even some animal life in the area. This picture was taken in front of the sand dunes, but we also saw mountains, canyons, salt flats, tumbleweed, and even a creek bed on this trip! We even learned that a fish species lives in the creek as well. Apart from the nature, there was very little to do in Death Valley, and very very few people. The drive to the national park took fourteen hours roundtrip, with very few roadside amenities open. It was certainly an adventure.
