This piece felt really impressive despite its simplicity as from a far it’s just an eye, but when you get close up, it’s fascinating how much detail there is in the photo and it could tell a story but I am not sure which one. Before I read the plaque, I imagined a dancer with all of the glitter and makeup and was intrigued by what they were trying to portray and when I did read it, it made just as much sense. I appreciated the order of the painting and strength of skill used in creating this photo and that is why it is in my museum.
